I’M BACK – RARE ROME and ITALY VACATION

Well hello, fellow readers and bloggers!

I haven’t been able to do much else than publish the promo posts I committed to and write my reviews over the last two weeks. First I was at RARE Roma, a book signing with a lot of great authors and then I stayed another ten days in Italy, not doing much else but read, sleep and eat (mostly gelato and pasta). I will go and visit blogs in the next couple of days – sorry that this had to take a backseat while i was away!

RARE Rome was yet again a wonderful experience. I left with 9 books and come home with twice as many.

My loot:

Unfortunately I didn’t get the books by Kristen Callihan signed – she was a confirmed author but did not attend the signing.

I was lucky to meet some of my favorites, though – Elle Kennedy, Jen Frederick, Amy Harmon and many more! I’m not a fan of having my picture taken so you won’t find me in any of them

We had a couple of hours after the signing to do some sightseeing. Rome is soaked in history. Even with the little time we had to spend in the city you could see a lot and absorb the beautiful atmosphere of this ancient place. Of course, it wouldn’t be a great trip without being ripped off by a taxi driver. A bit of advice: make sure you always see the taxometer. Some Roman taxi driver like to cover it with their phones…

Here are some impressions!

As mentioned, the last ten days I spent on the Adriatic coast in a small town called Cesenatico. I have been travelling there with my family for decades, in recent years with only my mom but it’s wonderfully relaxing and I can’t wait to go back again next year.

The last two pics are from Austria – it’s one of the most beautiful places.
